2018 Kia Soul for Sale in Joliet, IL

A unique look and long list of features makes the 2018 Kia Soul an exciting crossover

When the Kia Soul first hit the roads, some people scratched their heads and didn't think the "quirky" model would last. Boy, were they wrong. Over the years, the Soul has gained a cult following and is loved by drivers who want something different. Today we'll review the Soul's cargo specs and engine performance, as well as its standard features and highlights.

Test Drive the New Kia Soul

Specs and Engine Performance

The Soul has three trims and each has its own engine.

  • Base trim: 1.6L with 130 horsepower and 118 lb-ft torque
  • Plus(+) trim: 2.0L with 161 horsepower and 150 lb-ft torque
  • Exclaim(!) trim: 2.0L turbocharged with 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft torque

The first two options have plenty of power for general commuting around Naperville and New Lenox, but if you want more kick the turbocharged provides an extra dose of excitement.

Even though the Soul rides lower to the ground than most crossovers, it's still very spacious. There's a nifty cargo tray to store smaller items you want out of sight, and if you want maximum cargo space with the back seats folded you can get up to 61.3 cubic feet for boxes and gear. That said, we wouldn't be to open about all this space, unless you're eager to help friends move out of their Orland Park condos every weekend.

Standard Features

The Base trim is the most popular option at our dealership and it comes modestly equipped with Bluetooth, a USB port, and satellite radio. We suggest adding on the Convenience package. Its highlights include a rearview camera and 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ that displays familiar icons.

Highlights on the other trims include premium cloth or leather seats, stronger engines, keyless entry with a push button start, and navigation. These features you can find standard or by adding on different packages. If safety tech matters when you're driving in Plainfield, Bolingbrook, or in an unfamiliar area, the Primo package on the Plus(+) trim has several driver assistance technologies like forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane departure morning, and more.

We could keep going on about the Soul's features, but the best way to experience this model's amenities and charm is to come into our Joliet dealership for a test drive!
