The all-new 2021 KIA K5 has arrived at World Kia Joliet! Replacing the renowned KIA Optima, The KIA K5 comes as an entirely new vehicle with many of the features that consumers loved in the Optima.

K5 can compete with premium European luxury sports sedans with its engaging road grip. Its wide-track suspension is the widest in class, with advanced light-weight materials for responsive handling and agile steering. Available performance enhancing 19-inch Pirelli P-Zero tires mean you can keep it under control.

Smart Cruise Control (SCC) automatically adjusts to maintain the driver’s pre-set speed and to keep a safe distance from the vehicle traveling directly ahead. On highways where information is available, Highway Driving Assist (HDA) can control the vehicle’s steering, acceleration and deceleration functions. Standard Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is designed to help detect a potential collision and automatically apply the brakes in a variety of circumstances. New to K5 and the Kia brand is available Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA)-Junction Turning. The front camera and radar can detect vehicles when turning at intersections, helping you avoid collisions. Standard RCCA scans for oncoming obstacles as you back up. If the system detects a potential hazard crossing into your intended path, it activates audio and visual warnings and possible braking intervention. Available BCA-R is designed to help detect vehicles in your blind spot in certain situations, including when you change lanes, and may apply the brakes to help mitigate a collision. Safe Exit Assist (SEA) uses rear corner radars to detect any approaching cars from behind, warning your passengers. It overrides attempts to deactivate the Electronic Child Safety Lock until it’s safe for your rear passengers to open and exit the vehicle.
